IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE: Career.com.sg operates strictly as an online job advertisement board. We are not an Employment Agency. We do not perform recruitment, candidate matching, or placement services.
By accessing or using Career.com.sg (the "Platform") and its related services, including the posting of "Position Wanted" advertisements, you ("the User," "Job Seeker," or "Employer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must cease using the Platform immediately.
The Platform is a self-service bulletin board for job advertisements. It is not an "Employment Agency" as defined under the Singapore Employment Agencies Act (Cap. 92).
The Platform does not intervene in the recruitment process. We do not offer career/job matching, shortlist candidates, conduct interviews, or facilitate communication between parties for the purpose of job placement. Please use the Platform responsibly.
Advertising Service Only: The Platform acts solely as an online platform for Users to post "Position Wanted" advertisements. By using the Platform and paying any associated listing fees, the User acknowledges that they are purchasing advertising space only.
No Recruitment Services: The Platform does not operate as an employment agency as defined under the Singapore Employment Agencies Act. We DO NOT:
• Perform job matching/placement or candidate shortlisting.
• Liaise with employers on behalf of the User.
• Guarantee that an advertisement will be viewed by any specific employer or lead to an interview.
• Guarantee that the use of the Platform will result in an interview, job offer, employment contract, or the approval or issuance of a Work Permit, S Pass, or Employment Pass.
Explicit Consent: By uploading a resume or posting a "Position Wanted" advertisement, the Job Seeker provides explicit consent for their personal data (excluding Personally Identifiable Information) to be displayed on the Platform for viewing by potential employers.
NRIC/FIN Prohibition: Users are strictly prohibited from including full NRIC or FIN numbers in any publicly viewable advertisement or resume. The Platform reserves the right to redact or delete advertisements containing such information without notice.
Data Minimization: We recommend that Job Seekers only provide necessary "Business Contact Information" (email or mobile number) for professional communication.
Accuracy: Users are solely responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of the information provided in their advertisements.
TAFEP Compliance: Employers using the Platform to contact candidates must adhere to the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices (TAFEP). Discriminatory practices based on age, race, gender, religion, marital status, or disability are strictly prohibited.
The Platform does not warrant the truth or accuracy of what any job seekers have represented to the Platform or what they have requested to be listed and made public in their Position Wanted Advertisements on the Platform.
The Platform does not make any warranty, guarantee, or representation as to the ability, competence, quality, or qualifications of any job seekers featured on the Platform.
User Responsibility: The User is solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided in their advertisement and for conducting their own due diligence when contacted by potential employers. The Platform is not responsible for the conduct, legitimacy, or hiring practices of any third party that may contact the User through the Platform.
If you choose to post a Position Wanted advertisement on the Platform - you agree to: (a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about your professional self, and (b) maintain and promptly send us any update(s) at contact@career.com.sg to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.
If you provide any information that is or the Platform has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, the Platform has the right to remove, suspend or terminate all such information and refuse any and all current or future use of the Position Wanted Advertisement Service (or any portion thereof). The Platform is under no obligation to provide Position Wanted Advertisement Posting Service to anyone. The Platform reserves the right to provide Position Wanted Advertisement Posting Services at its sole discretion.
The Platform reserves the right to edit, update, or remove any Position Wanted advertisement listed on the Platform at its sole discretion without prior notice or compensation/refund. The Platform has no obligation to sell its product/service to anyone if the Platform believes that it is not in its best interest.
You are welcome to add the relevant content, update your Position Wanted advertisement, and/or choose the relevant keywords that best represent your expertise/experience, at any time and at no extra cost. Should you do so, we encourage you to review and check all data integrity after each upload of new/revised webpage(s) to ensure that you are represented correctly.
The Platform Does Not Guarantee Results. Career.com.sg is an online platform to post Position Wanted advertisements. We do not guarantee any outcome such as securing an interview, job offer, employment contract, work pass, or return on investment (ROI). The final outcome depends on a variety of external factors beyond our control, including economic conditions, seasonality, market demand, global events, each employer's requirements and each individual job seeker's qualities and attributes.
The Platform does not guaranty traffic to and from any Position Wanted advertisements nor does it guaranty its internet placement in the search engines for any keyword(s).
Full payment must be made when an invoice is issued to User.
Payment must clear in our bank account before advertisements are uploaded online.
Non-Refundable Fees: All fees paid for advertisements are for the service of displaying content for a specific duration. All paid fees are strictly non-refundable in any event, regardless of the outcome of the job search, whether the User successfully secures employment during the valid listing period, or Job Seekers cancel or opt-out at any time during the valid listing period.
Three days before advertisement expiry, we will send an email to User to ask whether to renew the advertisement. The Position Wanted advertisement can be renewed for the next successive 30/60/90 days once the User has informed the Platform to continue the Position Wanted Advertisement Posting.
The Platform, its content, logos, names, trademarks, service marks, slogans, products, services, and their selection and arrangement, are protected by copyright, trademark, trade dress, patent, trade secret, unfair competition, and other intellectual and proprietary rights.
Users may not copy, imitate, reproduce, alter, modify, or publicly display, in whole or in part, any information displayed on our website, or create derivative works from our website, to the extent that such action(s) would constitute copyright infringement or otherwise violate the intellectual property rights of the Platform or any other third party, except with the prior written permission of the Platform or the appropriate third party. In addition, the look and feel of our website, including all page headers, custom graphics, button icons and scripts, is the service mark, trademark and/or trade dress of the Platform and may not be copied, imitated or used, in whole or in part, without the prior written permission of the Platform.
If it is found that material is being copied, imitated, reproduced, altered, modified, or publicly displayed without the permission of the Platform, The Platform has the discretion to prosecute parties involved to the full extent of the law.
All other trademarks, registered trademarks, product names and company names or logos mentioned on the Platform are the property of their respective owners. Reference to any products, services, processes or other information, by trade name, trademark, manufacturer, supplier or otherwise does not constitute or imply endorsement, sponsorship or recommendation thereof by the Platform unless expressly implied.
We may provide selective hyperlinks to other third-party websites or resources as a service and convenience to those interested in the specific information. Clicking on these links will prompt a second browser window to appear, containing that site's content. These links do not represent an endorsement by or affiliation with the Platform of the content of these sites, or of their adoption or adherence to our guidelines. While on these linked sites, users will be subject to each individual site's privacy, security and other policies. Because we do not monitor or have control over such websites or resources, Users acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for the availability of such websites or resources, and are not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such websites or resources. Users should make whatever investigation they feel necessary or appropriate before proceeding with any transaction with any third party, and also acknowledge and agree that the Platform shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such websites or resources.
The User's correspondence or business dealings with, or participation in promotions of, marketing partners or other third parties found on or through the Platform, including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between the user and such marketing partner or other third party. Users agree that the Platform shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any such dealings or as the result of the presence of such marketing partners or other third parties on the Platform.
The User agrees to indemnify and hold the Platform, its directors, shareholders, officers, agents, employees, consultants, affiliates, subsidiaries and third-party partners harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of the breach of this Terms of Service or the documents it incorporates by reference, your use of the Platform, the violation of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation or the rights of a third party.
Your use of the Platform is at your sole risk. The Platform is provided to you "as is" and on an "as available" basis. We specifically disclaim all warranties and conditions of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We disclaim any warranties regarding the security, reliability, timeliness, and performance of the Platform. We disclaim any warranties for any information or advice obtained through the Platform. In addition, no advice or information (oral or written) obtained by you from us shall create any warranty.
You agree that in no event shall the Platform be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from the use of the Platform, including but not limited to, employment disputes, fraudulent job offers, or data breaches by third parties.
This Terms of Service is governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. All parties will attempt in good faith to resolve through negotiation any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this Terms of Service. In the event that the dispute, claim or controversy is not resolved by these negotiations, you and the Platform agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
Either party may initiate negotiations by providing written notice to the other party, setting forth the subject of the dispute and the relief requested. The recipient of such notice will respond in writing within fifteen (15) business days with a statement of its position on and recommended solution to the dispute. If the dispute is not resolved by this exchange of correspondence, then representatives of each party with full settlement authority will meet in person or otherwise at a mutually agreeable time and place within thirty (30) business days of the date of the initial notice in order to exchange relevant information and perspectives, and to attempt to resolve the dispute.
We reserve the right at any time or times to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, all or any portion of the Platform with or without notice. You agree that we shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or termination of the Platform.
You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the Platform, for any sales of goods or services, or promotion of a company, good, or service.
This Terms of Service constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Platform, superseding any prior agreements between you and the Platform.
You agree that this Terms of Service, all rights herein, and all incorporated agreements may be automatically assigned by the Platform, in our sole discretion, to one or more third parties in the event of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of all or substantially all of the Platform's assets, or similar transaction.
We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to our website, and operation of our website may be interfered with by numerous factors outside of our control.
The Platform's failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision and does not waive our right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches.
If any provision, or portion thereof, of this Terms of Service is found to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, you and the Platform nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and that the other provisions of this Terms of Service will remain in full force and effect.
We may amend the Terms of Service at any time at our sole discretion by prominently posting the amended terms on our website. All amended terms shall immediately be effective to all Users after amendments are posted.
